NeedleSmart CEO, Cliff Kirby, Donates Easter Eggs to Support Liverpool Homeless Football Club and The Big Help Project
CEO of NeedleSmart, Cliff Kirby, has kindly donated 80 Easter eggs to local charities who have teamed up to collect Easter eggs for the vulnerable children of Merseyside.
Liverpool Homeless Football club believe all special occasions should be filled with joy for children whatever their parent or guardian’s circumstance. This is why they started their Liverpool Easter Egg Appeal in 2013. This year, they have partnered up with other local charities and businesses including The Big Help Project, with an aim of collecting over 1000 Easter eggs.
Liverpool Homeless Football Club is an award-winning, FA chartered Football Club which helps citizens of Merseyside who struggle with homelessness, drug addiction, violence, legal issues, personal issues and a great deal more.
Their motto is “More than just football” and they aim to provide positive experiences for homeless men and women across Merseyside. Their amazing organisation offers the chance to build confidence and self-esteem, develop team building and social skills and improve overall health and well-being.
The Big Help Project (Knowsley Foodbank) is a multi-award winning national charity with clear aims, to feed the hungry in Knowsley and to work with people who are in poverty to help them overcome that poverty and move on to a better future.
Since they began operating, they have worked with hundreds of clients, some coming to them once with a one-off crisis, and some engaging with them long-term, accessing support from their additional services such as Jubilee Debt Advice or Next Steps employability support.
Cliff heard about the amazing work that The Liverpool Homeless Football Club and The Big Help Project were doing through a volunteer called Deniece Fay, and has donated 80 Easter eggs towards their Easter egg appeal. He added: “Thank you to all of the local charities who do such amazing work to continually help and support the vulnerable in Merseyside. The hard work and effort of Deniece and all of the volunteers like her does not go unnoticed.”
