NeedleSmart are thrilled to have won the Start Up Award at the Medilink North of England (NOE) healthcare business awards!

The prestigeous award ceremony took place at the Hilton Hotel in Leeds City Centre and celebrated successes spanning the whole of the Northern Powerhouse. The evening saw industry, academia and the NHS come together to celebrate the achievements of health sector organisations from across the North of England. The awards, in association with Insider, demonstrated the capabilities, innovation and commercial successes of the North’s healthcare organisations.

Kevin Kiely, CEO of Medilink and Richard Stubbs, CEO of Yorkshire and Humber Academic Health Science Network were guest speakers at the event and the keynote speaker was Professor Steve Haake, Professor of Sports Engineering/ Founding Director AWRC. Following inspirational talks by speakers and a lovely three course meal was the exciting announcement of the award winners!


NeedleSmart won the award for Start Up, presented by CEO of Medilink Kevin Kiely. Other award categories included Export Achievement Award, Partnership with Academia Award and Partnership with the NHS: Primary Care Award. The evening was also a great opportunity for NeedleSmart to make new contacts as well as raise our profile in the North and further afield.
